Robinho

Robinho

Postby MaineRoadMemories » Tue Jan 25, 2011 7:48 am

Noticed at the bottom of the site this morning that it is his 27th Birthday. It came as a bit of a shock as I perceive him to be a young player yet he only has a couple more years at his peak. Think he's going to struggle to be the best player in the world at this stage of his career :-)

If only .............
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

It's funny how some players feel like promising young players forever. I was shocked when I saw couple of days back that Stephen Warnock is 29 for example.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He's playing fantastic football now at my AC Milan of course because this is the ideal football for him! The only problem is all these scores he is failing game after game. But, mates, it's so exciting looking at some touches of class between he and Ibra!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

I agree with Renato. He is in right league right now. Suits his game and he is doing the biz there. Would forever be flop in England though.

Disagree, in his early career for us he produced some great performances. His attitude was indeed questionnable but still, by far the most naturally gifted player I've seen play for us. Shame it didn't work out.

I've seen him play a couple of times this season and he looked good in both matches, playing to the left of a front three (and swapping positions) in a similar setup to ours.

He has scored 4 of his 6 goals in away games, he can do it after all

Mark Hughes / tactically inept?

Yeah because Mancini really evoked Robinho's qualities. Give over.

Love robi

some people forget this when mentioning robinho

Nicolas Anelka 19
Cristiano Ronaldo 18
Steven Gerrard 16
Robinho 14
Fernando Torres 14
Gabriel Agbonlahor 12
Darren Bent 12
Kevin Davies 12
Dirk Kuyt 12
Frank Lampard 12
Wayne Rooney 12

Not bad for a player playing in his first season in a league he couldn't cope with. Just imagine what he would of been like if he could cope with the premier league.

It wasn't inevitable that Robinho wouldn't would out. It's the sort of thing that can happen easily, we built in a haphazard way. He started in a team that didn't suit him all that much and the team that got built didn't suit him too much either. Hughes was taking the team in a different direction, he was already on the way out when Mancini was coming in.

based purely on my viewing of him in a city shirt (coz i never saw him play for anyone else) i still can't work out if he was a football genius or an occasionally lucky lazy fat twat.

honest.
