Help with City Legends Kits

Postby Dingus McDouchey » Thu Jan 27, 2011 3:58 pm

Need your input if you have the time lads...
I run my son's Under 7's team, and I'd like to get them wearing City kits for the upcoming season. It's a recreational league so we can wear whatever we like. I will need 8 tops (no goalie). I'm leaning towards getting nostalgic names and numbers on the back. City legends if you will. Also leaning towards the era that my Dad (RIP) remembered so fondly. Somewhere between winning the league in 67/68. and the league cup in 76. If you would, could you suggest 8 names and numbers for me? Need to keep the names at a max of 10 letters.
I'm also not completely tied to this exact idea, so if you have any alternative suggestions I am all ears.
Cheers.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Ok, i'm almost there with my original idea. So far I've got...

7 - Summerbee
8 - Bell
9 - Lee
10 - Young

Can anyone help me with the most common numbers for...

Book
Pardoe
Doyle
Booth
Oakes
Coleman

2...Book
3...Pardoe
4...Doyle
5...Booth
6...Oakes
11.Coleman

Though Tommy Booth wore No5, he only came into the 1st team the season after we won the league. During 1968, it was George Heslop at No5.

I've described this undertaking to my Evertonian pal here at the office. He's suggesting

Doyle
Booth
Oakes
Summerbee
Bell
Lee
Young
Jo

The idea is someone must be Jo as punishment for poor play.
