Good to see it was won by a country that is in Asia.

Gotta feel for the Socceroos but wasted so many chances.

That said on the bright side the script is written for the tourney here in 4 years time.
Tracking back is overrated.

Don't get this argument - we're our own continent, not a lot we can do. Kazakhstan play in Europe, etc, etc.

Crap game, crap result. Pretty underwhelming.

To ne honest, pretty much every game in the tournament was dire for the Aussies. The 6-0 patched over a few cracks IMO. They are an ageing longball side playing against mostly lacklustre opposition.

That said it's a great shame for the sport in this country as the national teams success also shows a surge in interest here.

Good to see Alberto Zaccheroni, Italian coach of Japan, winning something after 12 years from his scudetto with AC Milan! Don't believe how his new players could understand his particular Italian slang! It makes me laugh each time I hear, Zacis a very curious sportman but all in all deserves to win!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Agree with that entirely. I spose when our starting midfielders play in Serie B and a mid level Turkish team, there's only so much you can ask for.

It's a complete misconception that we play nice football though.

It's easy to be brainwashed when Harper and Hill spend the entire game telling people how well they play.

I'm sure they have the best intentions, but it's an insult to my intelligence.

But Simon's come down and had a beer with the Sydney Blues a few times - he's alright.

Who said that, Esky?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Oh yeah Esky, don't get me wrong Simon Hill is brill. Just home team favouratism blinds many Aussies that want to beleive.

I actually like all the fox sports gang right now, including Slater and Bozza. Feel free to fire away but theyre an entertaining bunch and talk a lot of sense.
