The funny thing is that they would probably need a striker, with two old ones like Del Piero and Toni, one who has not scored in over a year, Amauri, their best one out for the season (quagliarella) and one young (supposedly) talent who is still very rough (Martinez).

Well having seen Del Pierro against us, I dont care how old he is, swap him for Jo.

On sheer quality yes, and he can also be useful on set pieces just out of the box (scored 41 goals from free kicks in his career according to the Sky pundits commenting tthe match against Udinese last night), but he wouldn't be able to play as often as a season in England requires. He can play one game a week tops.

Hi City Fan From Rome,
Just to go off at a tangent, for a moment, I love Italian football and I've always had a soft spot for Fiorentina, who are having a fairly disappointing season, with their away form especially needing to be improved.
However, what's the overall quality of their play like ?? Is it as disappointing as their League position would suggest or are they playing better than that but just not scoring enough goals to make a difference ??
On that basis, how is Gilardino performing, even though he's only scored seven or eight goals ?? Could we swap him for Jo ??
