So, let me get this straight. Charlie Adam was linked with United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa but he's still playing for Blackpool on less than 10 grand a week?

I bet the guy's well chuffed!

That's the first time I've seen a double post separated by another one. Well done beefy.

Really dull on the City front. Carroll deal seems obscene to me.

I'm not confident about our chances at Anfield whatsoever now.

Can't see why it should be any worse going to Anfield.

Liverpool's weaknesses have been in defence and midfield all season long. Losing a great player like Torres and acquiring two
'debatables' for 10 mill more doesn't automatically mean they will be any better than what we have seen so far this season.

Carroll is still coming back from the bar stool injury and didn't want to leave Newcastle. If he gets off to a poor start , it won't take long for scouse1 fans to get on his case too. Brings back memories of Mike Robinson for me and Rodney Marsh.

At Chelsea, Torres in and Drogba and Anelka sulk ?? Should be an interesting time. Meanwhile United, Arsenal and City put the pressure on Chelsea by continuing to win.... As will happen. (Although tonight I hope Aston Villa continue their good form !):

Torres has been like playing with 10 men all season either due to being shit or playing for a transfer. His whole demeanour will have been effecting the team. He's also had no one of even average standard to play next to him or replace him. They now have the biggest diver in world football, at the most biased ground for penalties in history, playing next to a bloke who took the piss out of our CB's a short while ago & scored against us, being fed by one of the best deliverers of a ball or set piece in the world, with a manager who's won the league with a 2 proged strike attack & knows how to use them, against our defence, one of the worst defences in the league for conceding goals from headers & second balls.

Sure if Carroll gets off to a bad start he may turn out shit & nervous as fuck & Suarez is unproven & could go to shit, in which case it will implode but if they hit it off, I fear we're fucked unless we score about 3.

Sold world class striker and ended up with a big Geordie lad and a Uruguayan with 5 months PL experience between them and around £10m down on the deal.

Well I'm impressed

Don't forget Babel.

Considering Carroll is returning from injury and Suarez is new to the PL, there could be some game time here for N'Gog & Kuyt!

BREAKING NEWS ON SKY SPORTS!

Despite reports to the contrary last night, Fernando Torres's proposed move to Chelsea has fallen through.

Apparently John Terry failed to agree terms with Nando's missus.
