I wouldn't be surprised if they're competing for champs league by the end of this season. Not looking forward to us going down there.

I bet their fans are not looking forward to us going there either mate.

We are better than them - end of.

yeah we are at the moment, but i'll tell you what i don't fancy andy carroll jumping for balls against lescott or toure that my friend is a recipe for a goal for them.

Why single out those 2? Does that mean you will fancy it when Carroll jumps for balls against Vinnie or Boateng or Richards or Zaba or Kolarov?

yes it does. i have total confidence in our full backs and vinnie. but carroll won't be out challenging for balls on the wings, he'll be going right down the middle against kompany (which is fine) and lescott or toure (which most definitely is not fine).

You are kidding aren't you? Carroll and any other decent header of the ball will always try to isolate himelf against the weakest headers of the ball and that means being at or beyond the back post where the full back is usually not the best header.

All this is irrelevant. Bobby already has his top man, Michael Johnson, on the case to buy Carroll a pint a week before the game. The rest writes itself.

Good result for us today with Chelsea losing. If Liverpool pass us then good luck to them, they will have had an unbeliveable second half to the season.
Overall top weekend. MU 0 points, Arse 1 point, Cheslea 0 points, the only bad thing was Spurs getting 3 points.

In today's Sunday Mirror, there's a report that Carroll's problem may be a little more serious than first thought and he might not be back before the end of the season. Improbable, I know, but the Mirror might just be right for once and, given our own, drawn out problems with SuperMario, it might not be beyond the bounds of possibility.

I suppose we'll just have to watch and wait.

Didn't have a chance to see the Chelsea game , but from the miserly highlights from motd:

1. Agger should have been sent off for his forearm smash on Torres
2. Chelsea were denied two clear penalties
3. Liverpool should have had two goals.

A shame the couldn't cancel each other out. One point a piece.

Solid gold weekend for us.
These teams are at the top, simply because they get the best results and drop the fewest points. Weekends when almost all our rivals drop points will be very rare. What it shows is that they can all be as fragile as we think we can be.

Since our season passed its halfway mark we have played 6 and dropped 7pts. Spurs, who we have to maintain the gap with to finish top 4, have also dropped 7pts having played 5 games. Despite a bit of a wobble on our part, Spurs ain't getting any closer.
Chelsea have looked like they might be closing the gap but today's result puts slows up their challenge. They have dropped 6pts after 5 games.
If we want to look above us at our nearest rivals, Arsenal, have overtaken us with 5 games-4pts dropped. We are still in touch.
At the very top, theinvincibles (hahaha) are not quite as invincible as they and their media cohorts thought. The rags have dropped 5pts in their ast 5 games. A City derby result pulls them right back in our sights.

Memorable weekend for our title challenge.
