Each to their own I suppose.

Given we have Silva and DJ who are both superior in their specialist roles,Yaya hasn't the essential energy/mobility or speed of thought to be truly effective in the position he plays,he may get away with it against lesser opponents, however,as he has proved, against the top teams his weaknesses are very apparent, they are further highlighted when playing alongside a similar player in Barry.

I think his passing, movement, positional sense are class. He also has shown he can score goals. Also remember this is his first season in a new country and league, and I reckon he's done pretty well so far.

The fitness thing is a worry though. Fuck knows what that's all about.

I think this about sums it up for me.When it gets tasty in the middle of the field i feel he can be found wanting at times because he does lack that energy and mobility over a few yards to be fully effective. He has a lot of good points and we saw some today but he somehow isn't as consistently effective as i would hope.

As for his fitness I don't actually think that's a problem.Looks like it at times but I think he is fine.

I just don't think what he offers the team contributes enough,as opposed to other players in the team, his attributes(or lack of..) are not essential to the system Mancini is playing and, when everyone is fit,i'll be surprised if he gets regular starts.

YAYA TOURE - immense for 45 mins - anonymous for the second 45 mins. That is the story of his season so far. He should be the player subbed more than any other in our squad but he isn't for some reason.
