Big player for us in the future.

FFS man, everyone Boateng included has a lot of catching up to do before they reach Jo's level of booboyedness.

I thought Jo nearly touched the ball once last night. Well done lad.

I was expecting today's scapegoat to be Gareth Barry after his run of fucking shambolic softarse displays against Villa since he came to city...but he was really not bad last night

I swear I remember people saying NDJ, VK and Zab were average when they didn't set the world alight in the first seasons for us.......

Why can't people realise that players are human and need pretty much a season to settle in - a player doesn't always need that long, no, but they often do when they're joining a team which has several new players.

I'm 100% confident that next season Kolarov, Yaya, Dzeko, Balo and Boateng will be fantastic for us once they've completely settled in.

VK and NDJ have just got better and better as they've grown into the club. I expect them to do the same.

Sorry - Boateng will never be fantastic no matter where he plays..he is too slow and gets skinned CONSTANTLY.

Kolarov is unlikely to get much faster even if he does get better. That position needs someone with decent pace if our team is to function properly imo.

I will be saving this Carl just to remind you when he starts producing form close to what Kompany is doing now. If he doesn't then i will still bring it back up and admit i was wrong.

I have high hopes for this lad, he looks so composed and doesn't need to be quick, his intelligence in anticipating the ball is up there with one of the best i have seen when at centre half i may add.

I repeat - he CONSTANTLY gets skinned....cannot stop a player from getting a cross in or a shot in !!!...we see it every fucking time the player plays for us......and please...he will never possess 50% of what Kompany gives us....ever.

Boateng is pretty rapid, it's his lack of reaction speed, lack of confidence under pressure, disasterous positional sense & lack of physical aerial presence v big strong players which is the current problem. He needs a fair bit of time to solve each of those problems & in the meantime should not be trusted as anything other than a squad player.
