EDS v Blackburn tonight

Not a good performance tonight as we lost 3.1 to a decent Blackburn side. There could easily have been a few goals in the first half which ended nil nil. Guidetti had a great early chance but the keeper finger tipped it wide and there were other chancesand really good ones deflected away for corners but at the other end we looked very vulnerable straight down the middle for some reason.

Karius saved a one on one very early on and a number of times our midfield didnt exist to allow a free run at the defence. The midfield was Kay and Ellabdalloui with Mancini further forward. It all cam e home to roost early in the 2nd half when they scored with an unchallenged header from a corner and then went straight through the middle to make it 2 a couple of minutes later. We got one back when they made an error for Bunn to take the ball past the keeper for his goal but even with plenty of the ball it always seemed to me that BBurn were more likely to score again as they did.And again straight through the middle.

Overall I felt BBurn were stronger and quicker and we had a poor day. We simply don't keep the ball enough and with Mancini in the central play making role for the first half that isnt a surprise as he is pretty poor and apart from the odd fleeting moment contributes nothing.

Is Bob junior actually at City with a view to becoming a City player or is it just one of these weird 'favour' things in order to keep him fit? Either way, it seems he's taking the place of a better player. That's not fair.

from what i saw tonight Bob junior wont make it at any decent level in this country
whenever he lost the ball he just stood around instead of chasing back and the coach in the dugout seemed to be having to constantly get on his back for lack of workrate

Not sure what is going on Ted but he sure as hell won't make it at any level in England., With injuries and loans we have made there is some argument that he isnt taking anyone's place at the moment. It all depends on whether you would automatically play an under 18 player instead of him. I could name 5 that I would play instead of him.

I dont like to criticise young lads but I really do feel if Wabara wants to draw attention to himself wearing such bright coloured boots then he should be putting in a performance to match the image. I realise how ridiculous this may sound, but I just cant see why anyone would want to highlight such performances by making themselves stand out.

Noone really stood out last night, Guidetti I thought had a decent game, and Bunn worked hard. Defensively very shakey as Doug has said!

I wasnt sure about Guidetti last night. A reasonable amount of effort and some nice touches but i didn't think he was as good as most times I have seen him.

As for Wabara's boots I sort of know what you mean but most times I have seen him he has played well.Last night he was missing a bit as was Veseli.Logan also seemed a bit shaky which leaves Chantler at left back as probably our best defender. One things for sure with Chris is that you get 100% effort.

I personally though Bunn was our most outstanding player and hand on heart I couldnt say that they played badly, I really enjoyed the game.
