So, if we did make it to the Champions League.....

After seeing how we have performed in this seasons Europa league, with Mancini at the helm and over £200m spent, do you really think we could cut it in the chumps league? I don't.........

I was devastated when Spurs beat us at the end of last season, but in the cold light of day I now feel the best team won that night, and Spurs are doing really well, especially as they have no where near the cash we have! We still have a lot to learn, and it just goes to show money can't buy you everything, even in a "mickey mouse" league........

i said it last season. and when people were saying we should fuck this cup off and concentrate on getting champs league football i couldnt believe it.
we have not played well in any round this season (and last time we were in it) and need more euro games to learn the systems and tactics.
played ok tonight though but a decent team would have punished us.

Even though we got knocked out, today was extremely encouraging. I think it could be a turning point in the season. Everyone left on the field was giving 100%, us vs the world. Haven't seen this much effort shown all season. There is also a shared feeling of injustice from the cunt ref and kiev that should spur us to crush everyone else for the rest of the season. I hope

More likely that they'll be absolutely knackered for the Chelsea game. Thanks Mario. Ruined tonight and potentially next season too

Salzburg, Poznan and Kiev all dropped down from the CL.

Three wins, a defeat in Poland with two goals in the closing stages, and a game played at 10pm in sub zero temps in Ukraine. (Germany Italy etc have a midwinter break and don't see any of their teams finish at midnight.....not an excuse but food for thought.)

thanks roberto but it still isn't good enough in my books - non of those teams sport the world stars that we do - simple as that

Next season we should have no problems playing in the Champion's League. Any deficiencies left in the squad should be sorted in the next transfer window & all the new players should have bedded in by then. The manager should have learned from his mistakes too.
