Kolarov is not a defender

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

He's far too slow to be a successful premiership full back. He's not a very good defender - gets easily beaten by wingers and lets too many crosses into the box - and even his attacking play has hardly been inspiring and does not outweigh what his defensive frailties take away from the team. You have to wonder about our scouting system if they believed he would be able to cope in the premiership - surely they should have seen that his lack of pace was going to be a big problem? I really hope that I am wrong about him and that these are just the teething problems of a foreign player adjusting to a new league but somehow I feel that I am going to end up disappointed.

The title is delusional. He is not a footballer, let alone a defender. Talentless.

He's not a wheelie bin, that has at least one use.

Would love to know who scouted him and thought that paying £16m for him was a good idea. I wouldnt value him at a third of that and he's totally unsuited to the pace of the premier league.

He's basically the second coming of Christian Ziege as a left-back. Great left peg but....... slow as a tortoise, lead footed, no pace, cant tackle, weak in the air, has the turning circle of a baby elephant, gets caught ball watching and doesnt force wingers inside where help is but instead gives them the outside where they promptly expose his lack of pace and walk past him.

So just like Ziege 10 years ago, given his deficiencies as a full-back which make him a liability City, like Liverpool did with Ziege, tried to convert him to a midfielder, where his lack of pace and ability is even more exposed. Terrific. He'd do really well in the MLS mind you, perhaps we can flog him to LA Galaxy.

Could have Baines for £16million.

He defends and scores..

Worth a go in the summer perhaps.

I'd like to know who scouts most of Mancini's buys. Dzeko is dire. Balotelli? Laughable footballer. Milner we knew about but he's been dreadful. Boateng? Terrible player. Kolarov, a league all of his own.

Dzeko. Will come good im sure of that.
Balotelli. Waste of space.
Milner. Much better than he is showing, I think mainly Mancini's at fault for this.
Boateng. Centre back all day long, Mancini again fucking him about.
Kolarov. Pap.. genuine pap.

I'd say bobby has been very hit and miss with his signings.. same as Hughes really.

There is some i'd keep some i'd sell.

KOLOROV AND BALOTELLI SHOULD BE DROPPED PENDING AN INVESTIGATION INTO WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE ACTUAL FOOTBALLERS.

THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

He was soooo bad last night! Makes it worse than he couldnt give a fuck how bad he was and just walked about after losing the ball countless times.

I'd love to be wrong about Dzeko. I can't see it though. He moves at glacial speed and has absolutely no touch. Without these tools or 1 of them, forget it. Boateng too, fucking awful player. Carl is spot on about Kolarov and Balotelli, it is amazing that they are even making it onto a football pitch, total pap both of them.

Im confident in Dzekos ability but also shit scared we will kill him as a footballer like we have with 9 out of 10 of all foreign strikers weve bought. Yes hes looking shit, buts its all about confident and hes the type of player that can sense our frustration and his head will go down.

Fancy a wembley goal? Would love to see a carroll esque celebration running into the fans. Fans at Anfield are even closer to the pitch than I am at COMS. I bet carroll didnt even get booked?
