For the final, I'm stuck in Jordan, on a compulsory 'safari' in a desert, on my one day off from work...

I've got a feeling I'm going to get heat stroke the day before.

I'll be stuck on a fuckin submarine somewhere in the Med just in case gadaffi needs bombing again.

Do you have tvs (not the 'dont ask, don't tell' type) on a sub? Serious question.

No mate, the only contact we have is 100kb emails we are allowed to send one a day, and we get a limited news feed once a day (usually). It all depends on what type of operation we are doing. For instance we had all family emails stopped when we bombed Libya, even though the press where getting loads of info, the families were kept in the dark, Mrs Razor was well pissed off, as when things like that kick off we could be out of contact for anywhere up to 3 months. Still, it pays the rent.

how on earth do you find the space or time to rub one out on the sub? 3 months...i'd be looking at men with goatees a little funny over breakfast.

It's to do with staying as undetectable as possible while mission-ready. They'd have to receive a signal for TV and internet (via satelite) which might be potentially trackable. Even if the signal itself isnt the problem they would probably have to be on or near the surface to receive it.

We use hf radio for emails, we can get the intenet when surfaced we the bandwidth is shit as for tele we can pick up analogue and digital when when on the surface, but only if we are near enough to land to pick up a signal.
