discussing this very topic. Personally i dont believe Parker was the best player in the league this season and i dont think he's deserving of this award either. But take a read of the article and let me know what you think

That's not a bad read mate and made much easier with my views on the subject. One thing I'd add is how impressive Scott Parker was against the Rags when 2-0 up; I wonder who gave that team talk?

Obviously watching City regularly I could point out players like Nigel de Jong, Vincent Kompany, Carlos Tevez and David Silva who for me have all had great seasons consistantly performing at a very high standard not only is this noted by their performances but also by the effect it has when they have been missing through injury, suspension etc, no doubt most football fans could put a case forward for at least two players from their respective teams. For me Scott Parker has not been a stand out player in the premiership this season, neither has Gareth Bale he has quite simply has a couple of excellent games in high profile matches, these awards are about consistancy as well as standard across a full season
