Because they played crap and exactly how Stoke expected them to play down the middle.

Stoke sat and waited and then just got the ball up front and goals happened.Just like they hope it will happen on Saturday.

it may have changed in the last month or so, but Stoke had never had more than 50% possession in a premier league game. They are very good at what they do and will be a real handful for a lot of European teams next season. Beforehand, they are exactly the sort of team we can't cope with and I don't see us as favourites next week. I'm just hoping nerves of the event get to more of theirs than ours.

Possession doesn't win games. It's a pointless stat when eyeing up a match's merits.

This ^^^^^ as they say on Blancmange.

Also though, Arsenal managed to produce several of the worst examples of defending seen since football began.

Arsenal were laughable yesterday - if their future is without Nasri and Cesc they are shafted. I will be very disappointed, if in that scenario we don´t finish well ahead of them next season

We might still finish above them this season, how funny that would be! :)

I think we need Barry getting us free kicks. For me he is the best we have at getting the ref to notice he has been fouled. That and set Nigel onto Shawcross.
Also I think a bit of Barça type rolling around on the floor might help.

There are rumours Wenger could be in the market for a few new signings in the summer - but there are rumours every season to be honest.

Help who?

Cultural difference here, but the last thing I want is City to start rolling around on the floor pretending they're injured, waving imaginary cards at the ref and generally being a bunch of cunts. I'd rather be honest and back in the third division.

Were you supporting City then, rh? (This is a genuine question by the way, not a snidey dig). When did you get into City?

When?
I am 46 and come to Uk when I was 5.
About then I suppose.Didn't have it inflicted on me like I have done with my boy,but yes to answer your question I was a fan when we were back in the dark days.
For me I see cheating as a part of the game, not a nice part and one we could do without but its there and we have to know how to use it.

Cheers for the answer.

I understand you see it that way. I don't, but live and let live and so on. I also know I am outdated and in the minority, but I can't stand cheating or cheats. I also believe that we would never get the decisions that certain other clubs get if we tried it.

I would rather win than play pretty football, but I'd rather lose than win by faking, filming, acting like many spanish/italian players. The reason the PL is the most popular league in the world in my opinion is because it is played fast and tough. Not a bunch of finger waving, wanna-be eurythmics babies...
