FA Cup Fever

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

FA Cup Fever

Postby Wonderwall » Thu May 12, 2011 8:52 pm

I work in Edinburgh and its chilled here although Lennon got twatted here last night! City is low key which is good for this week as I need to keep my City Blood pressue low as I go mental when I read stuff on here and I have no-one to talk to up here.

However in honour of Andi (SOF) and the rest of the MCF.NET 5 a side team, I have set up a game up here and we played last night in the city colours :-) it was good to get back playing again, first time for a long time and the looks we got as a city team leaving the pitch were priceless. Especially as there is only me as a city fan! We had 1 x Leeds, 1 x Burnley, 1 x Hibs and 1 x Hearts

Top stuff, cant wait for Saturday, I still have no idea where I am going or what I am doing. Prob watch it at home but god help anyone within 0.5 miles of my house

Resigned to the couch. My mate is coming over and as we both fell short on points for our SCs, it's a little disappointing, to say the least. There will be 5 of us including my daughter and wife, both big blues and my nephew, who is a closet blue. It may require 2 bottles of red, I am a back of nerves already.

I felt so sick with nerves in work yesterday that I've booked a half day off today..couldn't face staying here at my desk unable to concentrate

Finish at 11.30am then it's the weekend!!

Really early start tomorrow..think we are leaving for London around 6am

Didn't know you were in Edinburgh mate. I'm in Linlithgow, not too far away. Sportsters at Waverly station would be a good bet if you fancy the pub, or walkabout in the Omni centre at the top of Leith walk. Family affair for me tomorrow or I'd suggest a pint but if you're still up next season give me a shout.
we've got love bites and everything

I am setting off at 6.30am from town with 14 others on our Minibus.

Feeling really nervous at the moment worse than i did against the scum.

I think it stems from the fact that if we win this several more (trophies) are going to come in very quick succession imo

Going to try and enjoy the day whatever happens.

C,mon City !!!!!

To all blues going tomorrow - lucky buggers! - am working.
seriously - have an excellent day make loads of noise and don't come home without the cup.

best of luck everyone - you'll sweat, you'll be cold, you won't be able to watch, you won't be able to NOT watch, the bog will take a serious battering! - what an experience - and we have it all to do again next year!

Be safe and no eating prawn sarnies!
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

About to head to bed for my last sleep before watching City in the first major final of my lifetime. Nervous as fuck now!

I've done a bit of a preview for my website if anyone fancies a bit of light reading ahead of the game -

You can't win, Stoke. If you strike us down, we shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.....
