Golden Glove and Golden Boot?

Golden Glove and Golden Boot?

Postby MaineRoadMemories » Tue May 17, 2011 10:47 pm

What are the chances of winning both to add to the FA Cup?

Both Tevez and Hart have enjoyed a fine season and I hope they get their hands on the respective trophies next Sunday!

Joe is guaranteed his, 17 clean sheets with 1 game to go. His nearest rival has 15.

is the golden boot shared if both finish level? or is it who scored their goals in the fewest games or decided another way?

That sucks, surely it should go to the most consistent scorer

Could be close, Berbaflop scored his in 31 appearences, Tevez in 30 appearences- but Tevez has spent more mins on the pitch.
So as of now (if its appearance based Tevez wins). If Berbaflop doesn't play next week, and Tevez does but doesn't score it could end up with Floppy.

Edit: Just checked Wiki and on years it was shared games dons't seem to have been taken into account.

This is the first time ever I've heard of "Golden Glove".
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well it can't be his acting talent that got him into the movie business.

Probably because we've never had a keeper who's stood a chance of winning it

Maybe one could have a left boot and one a right.

Wiki has been suitably updates already I see!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barclays_Golden_Glove

From the premier league website

"Barclays Golden Glove winner Petr Cech was back to his reliable best during the 2009/10 campaign, keeping 17 clean sheets to seal the award for a second time.
The Czech Republic international conceded just 26 goals in the Barclays Premier League all season, providing a foundation for his team's attacking exploits.
Liverpool's Pepe Reina also managed 17 clean sheets, but Cech takes the Barclays Golden Glove due to having a better ratio of clean sheets to games played."

The golden boot has been shared on at least two occasions - There were three joint winners in seasons 97/98 and 98/99
