That cant be right about Blackpool as I keep reading how they were a breath of fresh air and took the Premiership by storm ... apparently ...... Hmm, what division are they in now?
i dunno how you could fault them for playing some attractive football with a roster that had no business trying to do so. i wish more would come up and do it...they were a fun team to watch this season. If i were a Tangerine i'd have been proud of the team and their effort and that actually would matter more to me than staying up a couple seasons playing defensive boring horrific shite football. Don't you agree?
cheers
I'd agree they were positive but also naiive in the extreme, hence why they plummeted from January onwards when teams figured them out and punished them accordingly. A little more pragmatic approach in the last 10 games may have saved their bacon but they caried on doing it their way which led to the inevitable conclusion. Positive they were, but some of the romantic stuff written about how great they were is utter bollocks.
Yes they had a go, but they also tried to do it on the cheap and failed. The chairman, Karl Oyston, who had failed to pay his playing staff a bonus he promised for staying up in The Championship ... because they got promoted instead(!).... will now find out the other side of the coin when players he's stiffed will jump ship if they can, namley Campbell and Adam to name a couple.
I also grew quite tired of Holloway to be honest, and his consistent love of the microphone. Dont wish them any ill or anything, but some of the over the top love for them is a little bit much.
