Our success and their recent failure, coupled with the loss of a couple of their favourite sons and that losing semi for them, has made a few rags very nervous and jumpy.
The joint 2nd, when chucked at them just emphasises that in terms of points gained, when they look over their shoulders, it is us they see side by side with Chelsea.

It adds to the dawning realisation that we are getting up right behind them and they can't stand that thought.

Hi John,

Don't you really mean to say that some of the (albeit elderly) rats are now starting to leave their ship, which is showing palpable signs of starting to founder whilst the captain lies in a drunken stupor below in his cabin ??

I know it's only semantics, but you might as well tell it like it is.

So just to bait them, you have become them....I am sure our Finnish friend will have something to say about that.

And my favourite reply:

Written by someone displaying absoloutely no class or hunility, the irony in this piece is astounding.

If you knew your history, you would first of all know that up until 1948, Manchester City were the dominant force in Manchester. thats the first 60 years of United’s history. City fans nicknamed United the rags, such was their impoverished state, and on countless occasions, City had to bale United out to keep them going.

Or by history do we mean since 1992. When the SKY dollar has fuelled the commercial success of Manchester United, propelled by self-perpetuated myths based on self-delusional grandeur.

When City won their last trophy prior to this years FA CUP, back in 1976, that was City’s 9th major trophy, at this point, United had 11 to their name. (Check your facts). Hardly a gaping chasm is it?

And this bit, “can only draw two-thirds as many people as their cross-town rivals’ Champions League Final losers reception, but since when were City fans interested in reality or facts” made me laugh the most. If ever there was a more blinkered, view of something then I have yet to see it. The fact of it was that anyone who saw the live pictures of the Parade down Manchester’s Deansgate would have been embarassed – Sky said there was around 2500 people in town, and by the looks of it, that was rounding numbers up. GMP’s own figures (a simple little bit of research will show the true figures) on those who attended the City Parade and the United Parade merely go to show you up as an even bigger liar. Unless you are counting the 250000 United fans who dressed up in fancy dress as hundreds of yards of wet paving stones ?

But this is it. This is what you are forced to do now. Lie. Cover up things. Brush them under the carpet. Perpetuate the myths even louder. Come out with your petualant outbursts. Come out with your own twisted infantile logic that has been force-fed via United-L’pool loving media. And yet, in doing so, you have demonstrated the very point of your own diatribe, and that is what makes your article comedy gold in itself. You completely lack class. Always have, always will.

Hilarious drivel by what is classed as a ‘new bitter’ I urge all City fans not to rise to the bait of this moron and his attention whoring.

The word hypocrisy doesn't even do it justice.

Got to disagree. Look at the comment by Vincent's Fit Sister, and savour the last line

"Well done for such an insightful article. You aren’t a complete cunt in any way."

A classic parting shot to a very well written reply
