It would be more accurate if you said he wasnt as good as he was the first half of the season in which he was sublime.

Not at all. It was readily accepted at the time by just about everyone that he went off the boil at the end of that season and was poor. It's just that now time has past people feel they can rewrite history and make things up to suit their own argument.

Some unreal stuff on this thread. Picking the bones out of last season and suggesting it was 'par' or 'minimum objectives achieved', people completely disregarding the fantastic team spirit we had, spirit that Bellamy could easily have ruined. Baffling!

He has always divided opinion, he's that sort. He did well for us but people remember his time at the club with rose tinted glasses. The club has moved on, so should he and so should the people who hold a grudge against Bobby and seem to have an unhealthy fixation with Bellamy.

No it's not. He played very well throughout the season. Even towards the end of the season he put in some cracking displays such as Villa, Birmingham at home. Fulham, Burnley away etc.

He was no worse than anyone else towards the end. Should we have gotten rid of everyone then?

I agree he put in some good performances. He wasn't as absolutely brilliant as he'd been in the 1st half & some took that to be that he'd become shite, but if he'd repeated that 2nd half season performance level for the whole of this season, imo he would have been our 2nd best forward behind Tevez.

I can accept that Bellamy has gone & the team has moved on but I can't accept the version of him portrayed by some City fans & the way it APPEARS at times on the net as if that is the opinion of the majority, when it's actually the opinion of a very very small minority. Most City fans in the outside world would have kept him & respect what he did on the pitch. I will always remember him as a fantastic player for City & buy him a drink if I ever meet him.

Exactly, perhaps he wasn't as good as he was in the first half of the season but he was still our second best player. To say he was shite is ridiculous.
