I'm hoping this game and maybe the next one will get all of his spotty form out of the way. Balo had some woeful touches (when played in at the top of the box), but also some great buildup play that almost got us a goal or two. He just needs to put his head down and get on with the game. Have his good form happen 50% of the time instead of 15% and he'll be golden

i don't think yaya's ankle was too serious, but i'm sure he'll be shutting it down in the US, and maybe the dublin cup as well.

is andrea mancini over 21 yet? i don't care if he plays in the EDS, but i'd rather give the preseason time to someone who actually might make the squad.

I thought he was wank overall in the second half....half arsed and you are spot on with the fact that if this had been a prem game he would have been sent off,,,seems he hasn't learnt fuckall has he....so annoying man.

at first i wasn't pleased that they were there, then i thought that the money they paid for their tickets is going in our pockets - thanks for helping us with those annoying FFP regulations :)

Just switched it over to Fox Soccer Channel and found Arsenal playing in a Champions League game. Thought for a second it might be their qualification game. Of course it wasn't, but I had to laugh at my thought, and the fact that we are in the groups already. What a great time to be a blue!
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Thank you for that, Ant.

Have we got the old SWP back? :-)

Good news re Yaya

Toure turned his ankle towards the end of the first half and it quickly became apparent that the Ivorian would not be able to continue.

Toure had to be helped back to the City dressing room and played no further part in the game.

The injury initially looked serious, but Mancini insisted that the damage was not too bad.

"We will have to see but I hope he will have recovered in three or four days," the Italian said.

"He fell over the other player's foot and hurt his ankle, but hopefully he will be OK."

Cheers Ant! It was a bit confusing that they showed the celebrations before the goals ...

I know he said that but why did I get the feeling that he didn't really know anything.Looked worrying to me especially with Yaya's reaction I would expect a ligament problem and more than 3 or 4 days.

Thought Vlad and SWP shone again. Savic also looked solid, certainly seems better than Boateng which is good.

Vlad has stood out for me on this tour though, he is really looking like a proper player now, the player we all touted him to be.

I really think he could break into the first team next year and really contribute. Bout time we had another top academy youngster break into the first team ranks.

Exciting times.

The atmosphere around the grounds was festive and fun as we waited for the game to start. There was a hard core local group of City fans with flags etc who took over a corner of the stands and did their best to raise the roof. I met a few from the UK as well--following City around on the tour--fun blokes.

The seats allocated to City fans turned out to be rather few--we were about three or four rows in one section. We were surrounded by Vancouver supporters. The banter with WhiteCap fans was good natured---a bunch of them entertained us with a Posnan dance when Vancouver took the lead. A group of drummers behind us wiped out any chance of being heard, except when SWP put the game away.

City had a nice touch just inside the stadium entrance--for a five buck donation you could be photographed with the FA Cup. Lots of takers. City handed out goodie bags to those taking part.

You've seen the game or the highlights so I won't comment on the team performance.

I hope City make this an annual event--it was special, especially to see there are a good few City supporters in Vancouver.

Dzeko, epic fail, cows arse/banjo etc

I back this guy to the hilt to shine, but he just seems to be lacking a spark. Hope to hell he finds it sharpish or he will find himself behind Guidetti in the pecking order

Agree with everything you said there mate...I was disappointed that we were scattered around the ground like that....I was in the group in the corner - mostly ex-pats but some had traveled and yeah we did raise the roof :)
Great times were had in the pub beforehand - great to see so many blues out there.
The thing about City is they possess the most loyal fans in the world. They laugh and sing and joke and carry inflatable bananas when things are going badly and they do exactly the same when things are going well.
