There are some very high minimum expectations in this thread.

For me, top 4 is the only must. Everthing else is a bonus. It would be nice to compete for the title, but if Tevez goes and the other strikers don't fire, we could be in a spot of bother.

I'd LIKE us to compete in Europe, but we are virgins in the comp so if things went pear shaped so be it, let's learn from the experience. Getting through the group stage would be great though.

If we went out in the third round of the league cup I'd not be disappointed. Same for the FA Cup. Any advance on that would be nice.

It's consolidation year at the top table. Let's just enjoy the ride and hope we do well. Once we're an experienced battle hardened Chumps League outfit then raise the stakes.

I think people have replied with the word minimum deleted from their frame of thought.

No mind, I think I know where we stand.

League: Top 2
Champions League: no reason we can do what spurs did. knockouts and i'm happy this season.
League Cup: go for win
FA Cup: go for win

i expect at least a cup, and expect us to at least push the title until the last day. anything less is a step back from last season.

Okay, was a good question for last season, considering I replied I want both and I hadn't given up on 3rd, SWISH!

But what are out realistic minimum expectations for this season?

League: i think we will win it
Champions League: knockout stages
league Cup: win it
FA Cup: 5 or 6th round

As long as we put a team out that can win the game, I'm happy.
