That Cantona interview was quite funny I thought. Him going on about us needing to invest in our accademy and young talent rather than big stars just like United do .... ha ha ha so that would be one of the most successful and invested in accademy's in the country then, stupid seagull spouting twat

He also went on to praise the ginger twat as follows...
"I knew Paul when he was young," said Cantona. "He started here with us. He has been a great player. He could play anywhere, midfield, up front, he could score goals, make them, defend, tackle. He could do anything."

You couldnt make it up could you? Thats all part of the the Utd myth, that their team is "homegrown" - yes of course it is, absolutely no fees were paid for De Gea, Lindegaard, Vidic, Smalling, Ferdinand, Jones, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Valencia, Park, Berbatov, Hernandez, Rooney, Young, Bebe etc

You ask the avergae numnut Red and they genuinely will have Hernandez down as a homegrown Utd player. Aside from one once in a lifetime group that came through, Utd are a chequebook team.

Most rags have Giggs as a homegrown talent, half of them havent got a clue that City brought him through until bacon face was waiting on his doorstep on his birthday with a pro contract.

To be fair I'd give them Giggs, its the same scenario as SWP/Hart/Richards etc etc

Agreed on all counts. Hart isnt our homegrown, Giggs is Utd developed, whilst for us SWP and Richards probably do come under homegrown.

Thing is, when we were in the poorhouse we tried "developing the academy" and doing things organically but the reality is, unless you splash the dosh you wont win anything at the top level.

Check out every team thats won the Prem Lge since 1992, and also every FA Cup winner since 1995 - the one year a team outside the top 5 won it was Potsmouth, who had to do so with a team littered with players they had brought in but couldnt afford.

i dont think you have the whole story there, he just trained with city as his mates were down with city he never signed for us at any level or even played a competitve match for us at any level so i wouldnt count him as remotely close to us, he is united homegrown...

Correct.

That rag twat stooped just as low when he went to the airport to pick up Berbatov shitting his pants in case we bought him.

to be honest i'd like Cook or Mancini to go kidnap someone who ends up helping us win the league this season or next.

i support kidnapping as a strategy if it wins us a pot. FACT.

cheers

Let the hating commence!!

I hate the filthy Rag wankers, I really can't wait for their excuses WHEN we beat them "Oh we used it as a friendly, it's a nothing trophy" But if they won it we wouldn't hear the last of it "Yeah first silverware, first blood to United" Piss off.

It's our time lads, get ready for it, last season was the start of the revolution and this season not only will it continue but I feel with our team, we are good enough to go far in the CL, fucl me, wouldn't you just love them in the CL Final?

HARK NOW HEAR THE CITY SING!!
Tick tock tick tock.

I don't want them in any final to be honest, I just don't want them to have the glory of getting to a final even if we stuff them 6-0.

Come off it Chinners !

If you could guarantee me a 6-0 win to us I'd happily take them in any final at any time.
