Tevez is our only proven goal scorer, take his 20 goals away and then where are we! We have some class, but they are still unproven in this league. Everything aside. Eto'o plus cash I think is good business if he can score 15+ goals for another 2 seasons!

I don't think it's a straight forward as just saying yes.

We generally play with one out and out striker, and we have three players well capable of playing that role (Dzeko, Balotelli and Aguero) so that particular aspect is very much covered.

I'd prefer us to sign someone who is comfortable playing a bit deeper or wide as we are quite light there with Johnson and Silva the two obvious option, SWP and probably Milner, though he would be very much out of position.

Sneijder will fill the void perfectly as opposed to another high earning striker who expects to play every week, i.e. potential headache.

Sneidjer won't come here, not this season anyway.

I really think all the business has finished now, so lets grit our teeth and get in to it!

A win on Sunday will boost confidence no end, especially without the homesick puppy!

Why?

We play one striker...why do we need more than 3?

Keep SWP who will fill in the wide positions and we are sorted.

I probably agree with this. The time to sign another striker would be January if we're coming up short. We've got pretty good variety up top. If we get stretched due to Balo or Kun being laid up, we can blood Guidetti in the Carling Cup. In fact, I'd be tempted to do that anyway.

I'm convinced that Dzeko is going to top-score for us this season. I get the feeling he may even be top scorer in the league. 25/1 on skybet the other day.
