Training Saturday 13/8

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Sat Aug 13, 2011 11:29 am

20 players plus keepers out today which is basically all bar 2 players. Vlad and Mario from what I could recall.

Attitude and spirit looked superb and whether he is going or not,Tevez was just part of a great group and getting on well with everyone. He came out and walked across the field with Vinnie and the 2 were having a good old chat.Nothing special in the warm ups before they played a full game where the defenders weren't allowed to go into the last 3rd. All about getting the passes right and then one on one's with the keeper.

All very lively with some good finishing and some not so great. Mancini then took 11 away for some specific work.Maybe the team maybe not while the others did some very intensive but short fitness work close to the fencing. A strong 11 with Mancini and a strong 10 doing the fitness. Then the 2 groups swapped around for the same work and then cricket called so I had to miss whatever was the finishing session and most likely a full 11 a side game. The one "reserve" training with them today was Razak but based on recent EDS games he won't be that far away.

Roll on Monday.

Thanks as always Doug. Quick question regarding RSC. Has he been banished like Bellamy and Adebayor or he training with the first team?

I didn't see him today ( havent seen him at all this year) but he could have been there. Bellers was with the reserves as usual.

Just wondering- what language does Tevez use to communicate with teammates, do you know?

Don't really know but I think he knows more english than he lets on.I have seen him in plenty of chats with Nigel and i doubt Nige speaks fluent Spanish.

I'm sure Nige translated something Hugh Ferris asked Tevez during the FA Cup parade at the ground

I was asking SWP last season about Tevez's English and he said that he speaks enough of the lingo to get by and can understand quite well. He just doesn't like doing interviews in English in case he says the wrong thing. Mind you he doesn't mind saying the wrong thing in Spanish!!!
