Nice one Chinners, but to be completely Keeganesquely consistent (what a mouthful), in your line up SWP could be played at right back instead of Micah - either that or play Nasri there and squeeze AJ in up front.

Having said that, I think I'll quit this line of thought now before the men in the white coats are alerted and come knocking on my door.

AJ can't play upfront as in Keegan world he is back up rush goalie

In all seriousness, that looks a pretty impressive and potent line-up.

Given the relative abundance of centre backs we now have - with Kolo coming back shortly - and remembering Mr H mentioning last season that, in training, Bob had occasionally tried a 3-5-2 formation, I wonder if we might see that type of set-up in specific games this season ??

Thanks for pointing that out Chinners; how remiss of me to have overlooked that tactical finesse. I stand corrected.

I'm a big fan of the 3-5-2. I think Vincent would make a fine libero too.

Any team wanting to play 3-5-2 would need sun jihai. That formation was invented for him

I liked the 3-5-2 but there's always that danger of the space behind the wingbacks. If I was using it, I'd have Kolo or Micha as the 3rd CB. Savic isn't ready for the Prem from what I've seen. SWP was a great wingback for KK.

You think Kompany is a better stopper than Lescott?

a libero needs to be good on the ball and Vincent is waaay better than Lescott.
