Who's to know what kind of petty prejudices the ignorant and generally thick carry around with them. Add to that years of alcohol and drug abuse (not that he looks exactly healthy, or even particularly reformed now, with his bloated features and tendency to slur and act agitated) and you have the ingredients for a thick bastard with a chemical sponge for a brain. No wonder, then, that he's to be seen showing himself up on TV every week (a figure of fun for fellow pundits) and ghost writes articles for a paper even worse than The Sun.

Anachronism alert. There was no "Edihad Stadium" last season.
