City's dressing room divided - Boateng
Manchester City will not reach the final of the Champions League because there is no sense of unity within the squad, according to Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
Germany international Boateng is set to line up against City on Tuesday, having joined Bayern in a £13.5 million deal this summer following one season with Roberto Mancini's side.
His solitary Premier League campaign was blighted by a string of injuries that restricted him to just 24 appearances in all competitions, and placed him behind Micah Richards and Pablo Zabaleta in the pecking order.
Although Boateng said he is relishing the prospect of linking up with his former team-mates, he could not resist a swipe at City, who are second in the Premier League table after an unbeaten start to the season.
"They're a huge squad and the team had no sense of togetherness," Boateng said. "I do not see them getting to the final because there are others (who are better). We have the better team. But I still have a lot of contact with the players in England and clearly I will be teasing them."
City will be pushing for their maiden Champions League win at the Allianz Arena, following a 1-1 draw at home to Napoli in their opening group game.
