Only one, like Johnny Evans. QPR

Zuri - there is no 'last man' rule, that is an invention of fools like Jamie Rednapp.

The rule is 'denied a goal-scoring opportunity'. Which clearly happened.

It all happened so fast many of the cameramen couldn't position their cameras fast enough.

Boyata's foul against Arsenal last year wasn't a goal scoring opportunity , the player never had control. It was referred to
as 'Last man' by all and Sundry not just Redknapp. Which by the way, is a term commonly used for the Red card scenario in Germany and here in Switzerland.

John Terry was 'last man' getting a red card for pulling Jo down - ( Shows how thick he is , Jo prolly would have missed !).

I still argue along the lines Slim is making. No guarantee the striker would have controlled the ball at all, it was a rebound after all and no, i'm not even convinced it was a bookable offence. A foul and penalty , it certainly was.

Tbh, if Vinny's isn't a red card then non of the other red cards ever given were red cards either. It's about as blatant & clear cut as you can possibly get in any situation which requires judgement. Certainly moreso than Evans' red card last week.

I was surprised he sent Evans off ! I thought he would have simply yellow carded him. Likewise with Terry and Jo.

I thought Vinny's was shoulder to shoulder myself but then I am biased.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Terry/Jo situation was incorrect as there was cover so it wasn't a definite goalscoring opportunity (which tbf, in Jo's case, it wouldn't have been even if he was two yards out & the keeper was lying behind him, dead). In the case of Evans & Vinny, it qualified as such so far as their rules go. Both are cut & dried examples of when the rule should be applied.
