With regard to Bobby Manc's press comments about Adam Johnson, it reminds me of years ago when Mike Summerbee was going through a prolonged, indifferent spell.

Big Mal purposefully told the press that 'Buzzer' was finished at Manchester City and would never play for the Club again. Upon hearing this, Summerbee rolled his sleeves up and came back breathing fire and brimstone to rediscover his best form and ram Big Mal's words down his throat.

Big Mal got his player back and had the last laugh in so doing.

He did something similar with Frannie Lee - told the press that he was dropping him for the match on the following Saturday.

Then he had a 'change of mind'. Lee had a stormer and scored two.

Had they not taken this action against Kolo, the club could be accused of double standards by Tevez, not Kolo. But they have dropped a bollock by doing it now, blatantly as an afterthought following the Tevez row, rather than in May when there would have been no cause for complaint.

They couldn't do it earlier as he was banned from the club as part of the drugs suspension. Apparently they've been trying to sort a date since his return and today was the first date that suited everyone. He was banned for 6 months due to his own fault and was paid in full. He can't exactly be surprised the club intend to fine him.

As for the Mirror article, any journalist who says 'Manchester City have' doesn't deserve to have the rest of their article read.

Should be 'Manchester City has'. Pet hate and something a quality journalist with a piece checked by a quality editor wouldn't have said. Instead it was in the mirror who give you neither.

No, I'm English and you're wrong. Companies etc should be 'is' not 'are'. They're an 'it' i.e. a singular body.

As for tolerance, I wouldn't pick someone up on here for it, especially with people using mobiles etc. Someone picking up a funny spelling mistake is one thing, but there's no need for the spelling/grammar police the rest of the time. I'm not going to give a journalist the same leeway though - they're supposed to be a professional writer yet making mistakes I'd pull a graduate up for.
