Watching City/Wolves in London

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Watching City/Wolves in London

Postby mr_nool » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:16 am

The missus has twisted my arm and forced me to give up my annual autumn trip to Manchester in favour of a weekend together in London. However, I'm thinking about ditching her and the credit card on Oxford/Carnaby street (risky strategy) for a few hours on Saturday to watch the game in a pub. Anyone watching the game centralish in London and fancy to meet up for a pint?
Any pub recommendations? I've heard that City Pride in Farringdon is a good shout. Is that so?

Wouldn't you rather watch City/Wolves instead ?

To each their own I suppose.

Same same but different. I can't understand a word either club's fans are saying.

Cheers mate. Too late know, though ;-)

Yeah, I did notice that hardly any pubs in the city centre showed the 3pm games. Farringdon was a bit too much trouble getting to, with bad service on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & Central line this weekend. Ended up in some shit hole on Haymarket close to Trafalgar Square. Horrible, horrible "pub", but at least I got to see the game.

Yeah, 4 quid a pint and no ale. No atmosphere either. Felt like I was in a cafeteria.
