The point is the coverage is piss poor.

We dont have any choice, we are a captive audience.

So we are allowed to say it is piss poor!

Really. So you can't do something like not watch until the match starts or turn the volume down and maybe occupy that 15 or so minutes doing something that is not going to get your blood pressure up.Maybe you could even consider ignoring what the daft fucks say, like all these people who say they have blocked my comments but feel they have to make some statement anyway.I think you are behaving like junkies need your fix of us being slagged of so you will have something to moan about

You should start a thread on something mate. Something topical involving city.

I don't think you've done that before? It just seems you only want to react to other people's opinion. Maybe that comes across as a total wind up?

I dunno, I enjoy the show anyway. T'was just a suggestion :)

I'm not having it that you genuinely believe half the stuff you post. Nobody is that warped mentally & still allowed freedom. How is R.I.G. doing btw ? Surprised he, she, or it hasn't come on & backed up your arguments recently. Or did he disappear when the doctor changed your medication ?

I think it has been accepted by most that I am the most stupid on the board(do I get a prize for that) so to humour me could one of you tell me why it is not possible to ignore the stuff the people who been given the job of commenting on the match, and if it is not possible to ignore them then why is it not possible to tollerate it as the ramblings of someone who is not a City fan(I think there are such people).
Maybe the answer is to simple but thats what I'm like so someone please answer me

Personally, when I turn on the live footie I expect some discussion from the pundits about the game - views, review of form players etc, not some Vieira/Keane love-in choreographed by a presenter who is to television what Frankie Boyle is to equality. Southgate, to his credit, at least tried to include the teams in his comments, but got shot down at the earliest opportunity.
I think it was terrible to watch and ITV should be ashamed of their coverage and review future programme formats to ensure such crap isn't aired again.

Just sayin'

Can you imagine any TV channel having a City legend, say, Mike Summerbee, as the main pundit for any united match in Europe? And then having a full-back from the same era with no connection to united, say Billy Bonds, on to talk about the old days and ignore the live game?

No, me neither.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I think that expecting as you say some discussion about the game and whats about to happen when you see its them and that presenter is somewhat hopefull. The fact that very little of it happened proves the point that it was probably not going to.The standard of fayre on offer has been known for a while so to expect things to be different on our day in the sun is IMO optomistic.
I think the pundits express what is their opinion and if it is not pleasant in our opinion it is nontheless what the TV company think is what makes good viewing.
I think people set the bar to high and when the pundits don't reach it it's annoying but IMO something that has to be tolerated.

It's not unreasonable to expect ANY selection of pundits, no matter who they played for, when given the job of working on a City game, to spend their time discussing that game, not giving each other a hand job about their past careers. It is what most pundits will do 99 times out of 100 when working on a game involving Spurs or Arsenal or any other British team in Europe.

Also, as a rule, since the Champion's Lg began, the commentators have been (rightly or wrongly) very partizan in favour of British teams in that competition as well as the UEFA cup. Rarely have they spent 90 mins telling the audience how an away victory by Utd or Arsenal for example, should be tempered by the fact that the opposition is shit. Almost every half compliment City received was followed by a comment on how easy it was & how poor Villareal were.

Tbf, had Gary N***le been doing that job, he would have talked about City & given credit where it is due, as did Gordon Strachan on a later programme. The mob working on our game had their own agenda & didn't really want to be there.
