Don't believe it was a card offence, however it was clear handball, just at the Taylor one last week was. He went feet first, but he had his arms spread so if the ball hits them, it's handball.

I don't believe you. You are sulking hence the 'bored me to death' bit when you have posted just as much as I have on the subject.

I recon you've seen it & now secretly agree with me but don't want to admit it.

But goodnight anyway.

If it contains Luiz Suarez strapped down and someone with a large, sharp, drill, then I'd watch it.

If Suarez had guest-starred on 'Miami Vice' he'd have played a sleazeball Colombian drugs-lord hit-man

Where's the bored to death motif for that one, or was Don Johnson really that bad? (Not that I cared for Miami Vice).

it's the only answer in hindsight that's for sure.

Especially as it's harder to digest after Balo's sending off later, but i think we all knew that a red card would get bandied about to a player in a blue shirt today, didn't we? At the time of Reina's gaffe, if you could call it that, i felt like Gary does about it...was it a red? i felt it surely was in real-time as it happened from the TV angle, but I kinda waffled in my mind and even after the replay i thought to myself "well, it would have been a hard call to make if yr that ref because clearly it will be a game changer so you've got to be dead certain and in real time maybe it was a little unclear." i gave him the benefit of the doubt.

regardless, if it had been a red, who's to say the replacement keeper doesn't somehow organize his defense to stop Kompany's goal and we lose 1-0? Etc...I know that's what Dazby would have done if he had been subbed in.

cheers

We have only played against ten men once this season for forty minutes. And look what happened.

It was his hand that stopped the ball going on to Aguero so he could roll the ball inot the empty net. Deliberate or not, it is a free-kick and a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. My understanding of the wording in the laws of the game is "handles or intends to handle the ball". Maybe the wording has changed; if so, I am wrong - fair enough. If not though, then there is no real argument about it.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

he's gone in like a defender outside the box. Inside the box a defender would be much more careful with his arms (tuck em in/behind) cos he could give away a penalty.
Outside the box the goaly has the same responsibility (at least) cos he could get a red card. he made no effort to keep his arm out of the way.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
