You're absolutely right. It was a bollocks decision even by his own logic.
This won't go down well, but in my opinion the only referees who've shown themselves remotely capable of handling the really big, high-intensity games are Howard Webb and Mike Dean.
I just can't get my head around it, there's just been too many games now where I've walked away from games shaking my head at the referee, even though we've won! It's like we're playing against 12 men, one of whom has the power to change the game just by blowing his whistle.
If it's just me then I'll hold my hands up and admit I need to get some med's, but it's becoming a constant talking point walking back from the game when we should be discussing how well the team are doing.
