Keeper did well. Zabba & Kolo did pretty much all of the really difficult bits defensively & rarely missed anything. Ned & Savic did well not to panic under pressure considering how little they play but on a day when Silve & Yaya were missing & Nasri went missing, Aguero was wasteful I thought Dzeko & AJ almost played Arsenal on their own attack wise. Dzeko almost played as a creative midfielder at times. Worked his balls off. One of his best performances imo. He gets my vote.

Dzeko played very well so gave it to him, but Panty was a close runner-up.

Honourable mentions go to Kolo and Savic who both had good games.

And a word for Nigel. Not a stand out game at all but I thought he was good tonight and did his job very well.

Indeed. Especially second half when Hargreaves went missing.

Costel kept us in the game. has to be him.

Dzeko did some really good work at times, very impressed.

All the defensive players were good and I hope that is a bit of a watershed game for Savic and that is how he 'normally' plays. Looked stylish.

I ended up with Zab on pure workrate, he seemed to be everywhere, Dzeko pushed him as well, but Ned would be my second choice for a solid display.

Maybe he was everywhere but Ox-Chamberlain was all over our left back position and making him(and others) look silly at times.

I also thought his distribution was good and feel more comfortable about having him as backup for Joe. If I had one criticism it would be that he needs to learn to catch the ball as punching it is not always the best option.

Me too. Punching was a bit risky but those saves were top notch. Otherwise I would give the nod to Kolo. Like Ned he looked a little rusty to begin with but got better and better as the game wore on.

Kolo got my vote but impressed by Dzeko's performances in the Carling Cup this one following a good display at Wolves. Dzeko is definitely up for the Carling Cup - should be made captain for the Final so he can lift the trophy.
