Would winning a few games in this be enough to boost our UEFA coefficient so that we are raised to the next pot in CL seeding for next season? No idea how the points system works or how far off we were from the pot 2 teams

I notice a lot of people complaining that the Thursday night games will impact on our league position. A simple solution will be to get as far ahead in the league as possible before Europe starts again. Let's hope for a 100 percent Christmas period.

I hope you are not being sarcastic, Stoke have done well so far and are taking the competition a lot more seriously than we will.

Stoke have done exceptionally well getting a number of results away from home and as usual flummoxing oppositions at home. If City and the rags hadn't dropped in I would safely put a bet on them fucling all comers up right to the final. It would be safe to also say that they are probably going all out to do well in it, as long as they don't get relegated then a season focussed on trying to do something their club has never had a chance at has got to be worth it for them. I don't like Stoke but I have always wondered what Euro teams would make of them, so far teams haven't got a clue how to try and tackle them.

Fancied them to do well and they've not disappointed. If you're not ready for them they'll cause all sorts of problems. A good side should tear them apart but you have to be prepared. Foreign teams must wonder why the crowd go mad when stoke get a throw in on the half way line, then it lands on Crouch's head.

With a lucky draw they could go a long way and it could well be an English team that stops them.
