Marvin,
The term LUNGE is largely nonsense Mate. To lunge is NOT an offence. It only becomes an offence when done with excessive force or with intent to foul.
Consider that before the tackle, the ball was free.The rag did not have possession. Kompany lunged for a free running ball, NOT at the player.

There also seems to be an assumption that the ban will automatically be increased if an appeal fails. That is not the case. The ban will only be increased if the appeal is considered frivolous. There is enough evidence for City to put together a well constructed case that is NOT frivolous.

It is well worth appealing, we have a genuine argument to make.
