Mario's biggest asset, which makes him special, has been his ability to produce big moments in big games. On average over a typical 90 mins, he's not especially good, but he does stuff at key moments in big games which often could & should decide them in our favour.

If he can get rid of the ability to attract refs, he can be the sort of player who wins title deciders and finals on a regular basis & that's what World class players do. If he can't stop taking cards however, we'll get rid.

Not appealing??? I dont fuckin understand. If Mario had have stamped on Parkers head he wouldnt have gotten up. They'd have to prove intent.

If I was Mario I'd be off tomorrow and say fuck you and your premier league.

Every cloud.....This might take a little pressure of Dzeko mentally and help his game. He's got four games now to prove himself.

That said, this ban is fucking disgusting. If they're going to retrospectively ref every match and deal with everyone in the same way Mario has been dealt with, then there should he scores of players banned every week throughout the league. This whole episode is a sad day for English football and to have the media decide which players are banned and which are let off makes a mockery of the whole sport.

What a load of bollocks.

disgusted with the original decision but pleased we've not appealed... shows that unlike the rags we're not desperate... remember their rio appeal so he could play against us a couple of years back?

The league is the priority and it would have been turned down and perhaps increased.

I think thats the big deal...we wouldve liked to have him for Liverpool but apparently Bobby doesnt care about it,
as displayed by his lineup, but i think its better for it to be 4 games and not anymore... although, no guarantee that
it wouldve been increased beyond four. it is a bit peculiar.

I think we'll miss him today vs. Liverpool.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

In reply to the original question...APPEAL - WHY NOT?

Mr Bernstein gave you all the perfect answer. In the view of the FA...and probably most other governing bodies, the integrity of the referee is always going to be seen as beyond question. You can take that as a given and once a referee has made a decision and refuses to change it or admit he could be wrong, it will not be questioned....no matter how obvious it may be that he is wrong.

That initself gives referees carte blanche to be corrupt. THEY CAN LIE THROUGH THEIR BACK TEETH AND NOBODY WILL EVER QUESTION IT.
