Beckenbauer recons Boateng is the wrong man to play behind Robben. So perhaps they are starting to realise he's shite too.

Boateng may have been better than Slavic, but he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

I very rarely hate a city player, but seeing that twat fannying about rolling the ball with his studs on the half way line used to make my blood boil. Glad to see the back of him.

rarely agree with you but that post is spot on.

Savic doesn't have the talent and looks like deer caught in the headlights but at least he seems to try. There was such an unwarranted sense of entitlement about Boateng.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I feel a bit sad for Savic, very much like a deer in the headlights and nowhere near ready for the level....yet...(if ever.)
Bob and those around the club must have seen something in Savic that they thought they could develop over time. I'm not sure I see it,but I'm a cab driver not a top footie coach.
He is certainly being put in because of necessity at a level he cannot cope with and I think tonight, he was not only withdrawn for the team's sake but his own. He has a lot of learning to do.

In all fairness to the kid, had Kolo and Kompany been available, he would have been sat in his suit in the stands, probably admiring the performances of his elders and betters, the same as any other City youngster with dreams.

Sorry Dazzler mate but the question is a bit flawed IMHO.
It is possible that Boateng may well be a better player at this moment but, who knows, as with Bob's improvement of Micah, Savic may settle down, harden up and blossom over the next few years.

Savic like Margintson some time ago has been murdered, poss game up for him sadly, I do not see him getting over last night, I know Joe Corrigan did, back then we had men and leaders now I am not sure we have a leader. His change at HT was fair but wrong if he trusts him and did not care for the cup, leave him to sort it.

That choice is like asking which leg do you wish to be hacked off with a blunt axe. Savic is as bad a defender as I have seen in recent years. Boateng was played in the wrong position but didn't give a flying fuck about City.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

i was harsh on savic last night, he is clearly completely wiped of confidence. but if he starts anymore games he could cost us the league. he is far to shaky. i still think we should go for alex and quickly.
