I was already gobsmacked to see the foul was given against Kolarov. and when he was booked I just couldn't believe it!
I must've missed something in the replay they showed...

I'm glad, and sad, that you've confirmed that point. That single event is proof beyond doubt for me that whatever we try to do will be shot down in flames.

I said at half-time that Dowd should've learnt from his errors, but he continued onwards, that says it all.

A sad say.

I was left baffled by that one.As it happened I was screaming for a foul on Kolarov so when he stopped the play I thought at last. Not only the wrong way ,as the slow mo showed ,but he booked Kolarov as well.Quite amazing.

It says it all doesn't it mate. That one incident is eating away at me as it was so blatant. Who can we trust and how can we as City fans expect a fair run-in?

Nope. We should have been going berserk on the pitch about that one though. The fact that we weren't says everything about our attitude to these games, which has imo stemmed from the top & certainly transmitted to the crowd at our place.

No chance. A 2nd place finish would be a decent progression from last season, whatever else happens. So long as we keep improving, we end up where we want to be.

Got back late from the match last night but felt that over the 2 legs, though we had our moments there simply weren't enough of them in the 180 mins.

A key last night was that though we twice got ourselves in front, we never held the lead for any length of time, thus sequiring a decent foothole in the tie. From the first 10 mins of the first leg when Gerrard scored the pen at our place, we were always chasing the bloody thing.

Savic was a total liability. The kid might come good but we cant afford to blood him and let him work out his errors in the middle of a title race. He's had a run of games now and got more nervous and more exposed, the more he's played. No more please.

No way we lose that tie with Kompany and Ya Ya, in fact even with Kompany. His sending off effectively knocked us out of 2 cups.

Thats 3 trophies we have been knocked out of now. Its time to go and win something this season to cement the great football we've played. We have 16 Cup finals left.

Savic played will with kompany there next to him. I think we would be alright giving him a few games/bringing him on when we are winning aslong as he is partnering kompany. Kompany keeps our defenders in check when he is on. Makes sure they are where he wants them. So I won't mind seeing him come on a few times in the rest of the season aslong as VK is on with him.
