Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Lucas Barrios

Watching the Dortmund game with Hoffenhein on Eurosport and the commentators are convinced he will arrive monday in Manchester to sign with us. It looks like 10 mil euros will be paid for him.

Klopp used him only in the last 15 minutes.

Imho, it all depends if Herman goes.

Never heard of him as I don't follow German football at all. Any good? Is he quick, first of all?

Quick but not fast I would say. If we signed him, it would mainly be to rest the legs of the other strikers & have cover for injuries or bent refs imo.

Weird enough, they refused 20 mil last summer from Madrid and now they are prepared to sell him on a lower bid. He was injured this season a lot, after last year he was the number one striker there.
But from what the reports are saying, he had some problems with the manager and now he wants him out of there.

He was amazing 2 seasons ago, injured a lot last year and seems to have disappeared this season. Still convinced of his quality though, would be extremely happy if this is true

he has been awfull this season. RSC who can actually score goals. Don't quite get this though as he wouldn't add anything to our current crop unless it's loan and he is back up.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

He wants to leave Dortmund, because he can't get into the team & won't compete with Lewandowski (who has been brilliant this season). Why would he move to City or even Arsenal then?

I think this would be a good pick-up if true, a real poacher who can also use his head. Really not fast though, but would be good to throw in the middle when teams park the bus. In my opinion, Balo and Aguero should be used against the better teams, and a player like him and dzeko against the lower teams. Its a shame I just don't rate Dzeko at all.
