I think that it just happened to be Everton tonight, but it could have been Newcastle, Sunderland or Stoke and the result would have been much the same. Any hard working, organised team would fancy their chances at the moment.

If we were as focused as the above I reckon we'd be a good few points better off than we are. We just don't look like a team a lot of the time, and half our players either don't have precisely designated roles, or they just do what they like. It worked great in the Autumn - not any longer.

The thing that worries me is that usually these's a good reason we lose to Everton. They usually tear into us.

Tonight there was no good reason; they were nothing. We would have lost to Villa or Norwich or Bolton or any other dire team. We were fucking dogshite.

I don't get it. We should've won last night. Moles has made some sort of deal with the devil.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Spot on.

The problem is teams have sussed out how to play against us, especially when we are away from home. We havent played well away from home since October, and last night we did the same things we did at Sunderland, WBA and largely Wigan too. We passed the ball to death and got absolutely nowhere.

We have no width, and no pace in the final third. Everything goes down the middle. Teams simply play the full-backs narrow to the centre-halves, pack the midfield area and defy us to break them down, and we cant.

There's no room to do so, we end up losing the ball umpteen times on the edge of the oppositions box, or have any shots we get off blocked within 2 yards of them leaving the feet of our attacker.

We need to change our approach playing away from home, otherwise we wont win anything this season.

i just didnt understand mancinis body language after the game, it was a nothing interview? also what did we take on owen hargreaves paying wages to him for doing nowt, bellamy i heard was mom at wolves and ade doing well at spuds, why doesnt mancini fall out with the shite we have instead of decent players and shipping them out?
everton are as bad as any team in the prem yet we couldnt break then down they had loads out and a defence that was thrown together yet we didnt score, we have no pace out wide and a slow midfield, i honestly dont think silva and nasri can play together in the same team and be effective

City got what they deserved. Absolutely nothing, lots of criticism and it was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. Pathetic display.

Mancini comes across as a very amiable and likeable guy when I've seen him interviewed, but I think there's little doubt that he is pretty hard edged and flinty when dealing with players. Having said that, if Bellamy was swaggering around like he owned the place and Adebayor was giving the impression he wasn't bothered about being here, then it's hard to blame him. It's all conjecture, of course. Maybe Bellamy and Ade were nothing like that and Mancini just didn't rate them. In which case, that opens up a can of worms labeled "Can Mancini Tell Good From Bad?".

It goes back to us building the Manchester Ship Canal. Now we have money again all those feelings have come back up and they have to get what comfort they can by doing whatever it takes to get a result at football.
