Surprised that it took so long for this thread to start !

For me Robinho did OK for City at a time when there was not much quality around him except maybe Elano and Ireland (in his one wonder season).

I wonder what he would be able to do playing for us now surrounded by the likes of Silva, Yaya and Kun and under the guidance of Mancini ?

He'd probably get miffed at always being on the bench and bugger off to Brazil without permission whilst lots of clubs try to get us to agree to loan him to them for the season while we pay his wages

What, not even for one night for the joy of seeing beckscum's face when he sees what you've left him? I'd tattoo a City crest on her back whilst I was there too.

Plonked us front and centre on the football map, confirmed we meant business and laid the pathway for the bigger and better players that followed. I dont particularly like or hate Robinho, he doesnt really mean anything bar an advertising tool in our history.

Totally agree with you, mate! All I can say is both City and AC have the best from Robinho. Remember that Serie A is completely different from Premier League. All Brazilians enjoy much more slow and tactical football of my country, absolutely!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

When you pay that kind of money for someone, anything other than continued success will be seen as total failure.

Perhaps it's a little sad but Robinho is now no more than an interesting footnote in our history.

Still got an autographed Brazil top of his on my wall. Bought it from Stephen Irelands charity funnily enough.

He will go down as one of my all time favs, even if it was a brief stay. He mesmerised against Arsenal, Pompey and a few others. Smiled, dazzled with tricks and had some awful celebrations. I still think he was poorly handled coming back from injury before leaving. 14 goals whilt being epected to track back more to cover Michael Ball is a fucking solid effort.
Tracking back is overrated.

Some great moments from him. He even got us a win at Everton. At the end of the day tho he really wanted to join Chelski and his heart was never fully in it

In those days, half the numpties on here thought it was ridiculous for a forward to track back, simply because that lazy little cunt refused to even try most of the time & people didn't have the honesty to criticise him. Just being asked to make a token effort was too much. "You can't expect him to do that" they cried. "Mancini will get the best out of him" they said. He did. He kicked his lazy little arse out of the club & signed players who give a shit. Now it's correctly thought of as essential for attacking players to do their bit defensively, because the little lazy fucking shithouse has gone, and been replaced by people like Silva & Aguero, who's boots he isn't fit to kiss.
