It's 100% a cross. He was just putting the ball in early to the strikers. If Messi did it I'd be dubious but I'd think there was a slight possibility he may have meant it, but Lansbury ? Do me a favour.

I think it was a shot. Watch him look goalwards just before he hits it. He spots the keeper out and then quickly creams the ball.

If he tried that another 100 times he probably wouldn't score one more, but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.

"I'd taken a bad touch and it was all I could really do to put it in the box, and the wind has carried it," he said, before adding with a laugh: "I did see the keeper off his line though."

Doesn't make it clear whether it was a shot or cross, but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, too.

Parker cheated his way through that match, I watch closely and he made himself available very very often but only to pass the ball sideways or backwards. Seriously after Barry went off the passing game went to shit, much because Milner was dogshit and Parker finally had to try to take the ball forward.

I read a stat that in the first half his pass sucess rate was 97% - it seems the media bought it too.

Take Modric out of tottenham and Scotty would look normal.

It does clear it up, he is admitting it was unintentional.

The full piece reads:

Eastick said Lansbury had initially tried to claim it had been deliberate in the dressing room, but the on-loan Arsenal forward was more honest after the game.

"I'd taken a bad touch and it was all I could really do to put it in the box, and the wind has carried it," he said, before adding with a laugh: "I did see the keeper off his line though."

The last bit is just him joking. I recon it may also have hit the defender (that's why it went so high) but the camera lens makes it difficult to see.

Re England:

Pearce, imo, lined up a really sensible, modern, formation with one or two dodgy selections & then ruined it. Whether he would make the same changes in a full game I don't know BUT, irrespective of that, would those same players really play so much better because of a bit of cheeky chappie, lovable cockernee banter from Rosie's dad ?

Or, would Harry just pick the usual suspects in a 4-4-2 & sail on a wave of bullshit until it fell apart ? In that case, we would end up in exactly the same position we were a week ago but with even older players.

I thought this too, but you cant slate Scotty Parker anywhere these days, im on an irish forum and they all think hes the bees knees. Does my head in, guy is average and shouldnt be captain of the national team. i wouldnt have him in the squad let alone team or captain.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
