I think whoever wins the league is going to set a new record high. be just our luck to get a record high and still come second.

Theoretically speaking they are not safe from relegation yet LOL

If i had time i would like to see when the last time they were in such a position.

Them aside, that does give a lot of food for thought, very interesting stuff M (BA), thanks

As they currently sit 7th, it ain't very long ago...2009-10, they finished 7th.
Working back from there...2nd, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 4th, 5th, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 6th.
That takes you from the start of the Prem. If you take away the present challenge of City and Spurs, not a lot has changed.

We're 17points ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea, 20 ahead of Newcastle and 24 ahead of Liverpool.
No matter if we end up 1st or 2nd, we've had a fantastic season.

True, but I think even the most pessimistic fan would be slightly disappointed with second this season.
