Vary Impressed With Pizarro

I really like the look of this fella. He is very comfortable on the ball, has an eye for a pass and works hard. If he hadn't been replaced today I reckon he'd have been in with a shout for Man Of The Match.

Whilst I agree pretty much entirely, there were a couple of occasions today where he tried a Hollywood pass to noone where he could have just kept it simple, i'm sure Bobby will have a word with him about that though.

I thought he was brill 1st half but was brought off as his passing had deteriorated, probably due to lack of match fitness.

Great option to have though, looks very intelligent on the pitch.

He got caught dallying on the ball a couple of times & misplaced quite a few passes, but I guess it was an alright starting debut.

Decent enough performance, but I think he lacks the mobility to be able to hack it in a box-to-box game.

I agree. He did well to earn that one free kick though.

Got caught once but apart from that I thought he had a very decent game. One thing I did say is how disciplined he had to be and it's obviously down to Mancini's brief. I noticed how far up the pitch he's got in his other games yet in this he seemed not to want t move above the halfway line. I noted Nige getting forward on Wednesday away from his normal role with us, which Pizzaro seemed to take over today.
