Watching this game is enjoyable. There are obvious moments of pure class football but it's the enrgy that stands out most to me.Barca pass and move and it's great to watch but when they lose the ball the energy levels go even higher.

The comparison to City at the moment is black and white.Yet I watch them do pass, move and press stuff in training and so much of it is there and from all the players and not just a few.Why cant they take the same energy and feel for the quick game out into a game. Can it just be confidence?

my son's U-7 team had the most amazing practice last night...they fucking banged corners into the box and scored from them. Kids knew their roles and worked at them. Defensively everyone stuck their foot in and made an effort to block the shots and do whatever it is that 6 and 7 year olds can do.

Fast forward to this mornings match -- and they were so goddam flat it wasn't even funny. They were lost and got throttled 5-0 by a team that they literally are better than by leaps and bounds...

they blew their wad last night at practice...and it's my fault and my coach's fault that we haven't realized that Friday night practices before a Saturday morning match are too much for these little guys.

Mancini is doing something equally wrong...should i call him?

cheers

Yes, you should call him. Or, you could get Doug to sort him out. Duh!

Doug is good at sorting things out.
