Exactly. Look at him, he's not quite the athlete Yaya is, or Balotelli. He should have been rotated and not played every single game.

He peaked too early, like alot of the squad, and now we are paying the price by stumbling towards the finishing line.

Poor poor management.

Have to agree, truly awful stuff from Bob. Why he hasn't noticed that the team improves drastically every time Silva goes off, I don't understand. I said the othr day that if Silva was going to play at all, surely it should be that he comes on when the oppo are tired ?

might make you consider finding a manager that can react to what's been obvious to all of us for months, shouldn't it?

just sayin.

I think he's hit the equivalent of the Marathon 'wall', or is like a punch-drunk boxer
I fear he could be 'shot' for the season, and it might be more of a psychological thing.

Well it is a psychological problem now because he's physically struggling and he knows it and that about sums it up.

Maybe we should take him out of the firing line, use him from the bench. See whether Nasri can step up? He has the ability

Silva's season mirrors ours; pre-christmas he was the standout player in the Premier League, over the past 2 months he hasnt merited selection and his form has dropped off a cliff.

I can fully understand that Silva at 60% is better than most but to keep throwing him out there match after match just seems wrong. The fact that he is being taken off lately when we need a goal just about says it all.

I think he is ruining the team. We try to play through him & he's just running down blind alleys & trying really obvious passes which the oppo have seen on video & are waiting for.

Bob has really not managed his situation well at all imo. We may not have got him back to 100% but I'm sure we could have got him into better shape than he is now, if we hadn't crucified him.

Tired
Lot's of little knocks taking a tole.

I think the biggest problem is, he is sick of being kicked and nothing being done about it. He has slowly declined since chelsea. If he decides to leave the premier league then the ref's have cost us the best player we have ever had and the best player in the premier league. He get's absolutely no protection from the vicious targeting of thugs and he just can't be arsed pissing into the wind anymore. I can't blame him for it.

It's no coincidence - Silva pre-Christmas RAN our team, part of the reason Mancini didn't drop him was because he made himself undropable. He needs to be used sparingly for what's left of the season. Maybe start Pizza or give Nasri some games in Silva's role.

totally agreed.
I started suggesting several weeks ago to give him a serious rest, not only physical but even mental: a week or 2 off to his island, maybe. definitely the bigger mistake from the gaffer, even if I continue to suspect that he's carrying some kind of painful injury: you suggested ankle, Im more for a groin... be obviously said without having any real clue.

As you wisely pointed out, at the end of the day Barca have Messi and Dave has truly been our Messi for more than a year.

2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

I not only took my FF captaincy away from him, two weeks ago, - which he had held since the opening game of the season, - but transferred him out of the team. And that's even though I had been concerned about his decline in form for some time but I thought he deserved my loyalty.
Its not his fault, though

Looks like I need to do that.

Im also worried because this summer he will most likely be at the Euros and wont have time to
rest up and heal so he can be fresh for next season.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
