I have this mental block about City and trophies, so no matter how good we are I can't get over the feeling that we'll never win one again, until we actually do. Was sure 2006 was our year until Aston's wonder goal, then we got turned over at Ewood in the quarters the year after, and last year the filth robbed us in the last minute- so from now on, where cups are concerned I'll expect nothing to avoid disappointment. City and depression just go hand in hand, really.

In the league, 4th I think is realistic, and also a good achievement under the circumstances. If we weren't in Europe it'd be different, but regardless of how great a squad we have, it will take its toll on us and I can't see a title challenge while we're playing Thursday/Sunday/Thursday. The only thing is, being in this Europa League will be a good test drive for the less experienced guys and it should bode well when we do manage to get into the Champions League. Third is a possibility if everything really clicks, but with all the circumstances to take into account, I'd gladly settle for 4th right now.

Looking at the squads around the league im expecting a minimum of 3rd place but if we perform consistanly we should be in the title race. No excuses now the nucleus of the squad is bedded in and quality reinforcements have joined.

A trophy would be nice but the league is our bread and butter and our priority.
