They don't get watched once at home, score a hat trick and yes we will have him.We need to know everything about them. What about Rekik,Suarez,Roman who brought them over here?

I think there is a scouting network which he put in place rather than him doing it personally, so it will still be there when he leaves.

realistically, it's the children were signing where the scouting network will matter.

Everyone's acting as if the first team targets are the ones you would judge someone in this role on, and i beg to differ.

As you've pointed out Ted, everyone and their mother knows who the tip top players are....it's the 14-16 year olds we're grabbing and the scouts we've deployed to find said children plus the one value signing every year or two who you'd base your judgement upon, isn't it?

cheers

Yes but when you read quotes from Rigg in the media, he usually talks about the senior players City are looking at, so I think he personally tends to be heavily involved with scouting the 1st team players.

Doesnt sound like he's taking a backseat if Chinner's bollox is accurate - he seems to have moved because he was offered more responsibility.

Sorry, didn't see that. But, at the same time, I'd guess the new role at QPR allows him to be a bit more static, and do things 'in-house'. I'd guess our acquisition strategy involves a lot more travelling and meetings. This is just a theory, mind, and after seeing Chinners' piece, I'm happy to believe that it's all about making a step up the seniority ladder.
