Refereeing

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Interesting that graham poll says in the telegraph (I think?) this morning that slur alex rang him in 2006 after his three yellow card blunder to offer his support.

What a fantasticly straight league we are trying to win.

Human's get influenced. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes you don't even know it is happening... And it is other human's that do it.

On that basis alone, no manager should EVER be able to talk to any referee at any point. Let alone have his fucking telephone number!!!!

Fuck. Ing. Hell.

this is my point about the whole sordid business, John Terry as captain of Chelsea isn't man enough to go over to the ref and say 'look mate, take it from me, the ball was not over the line. we can beat Spurs without this kind of help, give 'em a drop ball and i'll kick it over the line for a goal kick'

cos he's just as bent as the rest, not one set of balls between 'em .

this is a modern day phenominon, all out to get something for free without the decency to say no it was wrong.

All the bloodsuckers on sky and talkshite are worse than the scumbag politicians who nick your hard earned pay ( expenses for example).

at the top of the tree is that arse Ferguson, got the absolute balls to tell us it was a bit of a weak penalty, i'll kick him in his gammy leg to explain to him and the talkshite brownnosers 'what contact really is' in the penalty area.

there might be a lot of united fans who will cheat, but not all of them are and i'm sure many will be shocked at both fergies and youngs behaviour, just as many on here are pointing out.

it has to stop this season, otherwise there will be empty stadia like in Italy, the home of corruption in football.

that's a nice idea, but i can pretty much tell you that 50 or 100 years ago some cunt still would have taken that goal and been happy with it.

I believe that you are living in cuckoo land if you think otherwise. People take what they can get...it was a call and it wasn't like someone from Chelsea cheated to get the goal a la Ashley Young's diving. There's a difference in my opinion.

cheers

Finally getting around to watch motd highlights of the Norwich game. since when has obstruction become 'positions himself between joe hart and holt' . As for the yellow card on Tevez Foy is a complete arse.

I can't help thinking the bbc dub their commentary after the fact as well to suit their agenda

Roberto, kinda, spoke his mind.

Will be seen as excuses and bitter in some quarters. But a nice little reminder before the weekend that the referees are under scrutiny. I like the way he is rolling with this.....veira started it, bobby is keeping it going, and who knows, it might just make some pf these bent cunts think twice before their stupid decisions this weekend.

The negative publicity toward Young may have some effect but then again, the negative publicity regarding his dive from the week before only succeded in bringing another penalty for Young & a yellow card for Tevez for being trodden on in the penalty area.

Only be seen as being bitter by the Munchens mate...I thought he was spot on and most fans will agree with him.

What make it worse is the unholding of Derry's Red card WTF is that about. Tevez is fouled at Norwich no intervention or using common sense and rescinding the yellow which earlier in the season could lead to a ban. Refs get it wrong no problem, with a so called elite group just making up Goals, No Pen coz it is only Fulham and buying dives they get a fair kicking for me.

Bacon facr was just on ssn about refereeing decisions. They showed the 2 young dives which I was suprised about at first. Then they showed the wigan handball and the unfair penalty given to newcastle.

So that proves that decisions do even themselves out over the whole season, which slur alex states AGAIN.

Then the piece finishes with michael owen scoring his 8th minute injury time winner against us and fergie saying what a good striker he is.

My contract with sky is up in june. And they are never getting inside my house again.

Fair and valid point about daft yellows being dished out - the ref apologized for giving a phantom goal and rightly so but then should also apologize for giving out a phantom yellow to Tevez.

I found it telling that he came out and said he'd told Young to stop going down so easily. Then, in my totally fucked up mind I thought that Taggart was being clever and telling the ref that if he goes down again it's a genuine penalty, even if he's dived.

That's how bad things have got that I'm now always looking for the double meaning in his statements.
